SOCIAL SKILL & INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILL TRAINING FOR CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, & ADULTS WITH AUTISM, ADD/ADHD, & SIMILAR COGNITIVE DEFICITS.
Social Skills - Weekly social skills classes provided for elementary, tween, teen and young adult age levels. The social skill program addresses verbal and non-verbal communication, self-esteem, self-awareness, self-advocacy skills, coping and self-regulation skills, peer typical interaction and other interpersonal skills crucial for lifelong happiness and independence.
Enrichment - Regular monthly extracurricular, community based outings scheduled for the elementary, tween, and teen groups. Weekly community based outings offered for young adults. Enrichment activities remain of paramount importance to the program as a means of encouraging appropriate peer socialization, networking, self-awareness and self-advocacy. .
Transition - program expanded to train, mentor, coach and employ young adults as they transition out of school based situations into increased independent living arrangements. Transition includes a blend of curriculum, assessments, and work based learning to prepare students for integrated employment in jobs that meet their interests and skills.
