A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF WCC'S ACTIVITIES INVOLVES PROJECTS TO MAINTAIN AND BEAUTIFY THE ESPLANADES AND GREENSPACES IN THE AREA, INCLUDING MOWING, SEASONAL PLANTINGS, AND WATERING. THIS NOT ONLY ENHANCES THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR EVERYONE, BUT IT IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR IN KEEPING HOME VALUES AT A HIGH LEVEL. ONE SUCH EVENT IS THE YARD OF THE MONTH CONTEST. ON APRIL 7, 2018, WCC SPONSORED KEEP WESTBURY BEAUTIFUL DAY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH KEEP HOUSTON BEAUTIFUL, AN ORGANIZATION THAT HAS WORKED FOR OVER 30 YEARS TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF THE CITY OF HOUSTON.
