Northeast Hospital Foundation was established to fund health care programs and services for Humble, TX, and the surrounding communities.
Since its establishment in 1987, the Northeast Hospital Foundation has raised more than $3 million to fund healthcare programs and services for many residents of the Northeast Harris, East Montgomery, and Liberty county areas surrounding the City of Humble, Texas.
Project Mammogram - Provides mammograms and any subsequently needed ultrasounds to women in the Humble, TX and surrounding communities service area who meet the Foundation's financial guidelines. The Foundation provides breast cancer awareness and education at various community missions and outreach centers. For the FYE 6/30/20, the total patients served were 289 with 121 screening mammograms, 135 diagnostic mammograms, 132 ultrasounds, and 17 biopsies; these procedures resulted in the diagnosis of two cancers. There were 35 outreach visits to the Society of St. Stephens, 40 outreach visits to Mission Northeast, 34 outreach visits to Humble Area Assistance Ministries, and two outreach visits to St. John's Church. The long-term goal of Project Mammogram is to raise funding to ensure accessibility of screening and diagnostic procedures for all potential mammogram patients.
The Emergency Trauma program uses funds contributed to the Foundation to provide funding to qualified applicants in the Humble area for emergency skills training and the acquisition of emergency equipment used to treat victims of emergency trauma events.
The Volunteer program uses money donated from Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital volunteers to purchase items for Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. Including children's books for waiting rooms and patients, baby shirts for the newborns, an award cabinet, and other items used by hospital staff. These funds are also used to support college scholarships awarded to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital student volunteers.
