Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO TEACH CHILDREN OF THE LOVE OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER AND HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST. GOD WANTS CHILDREN TO KNOW HOW WONDERFULLY MADE AND TREASURED THEY ARE. TO CROSS DENOMINATION, RACIAL AND ECONOMIC BARRIERS; WE ARE ONE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST.
TO PROVIDE BIBLICALLY BASED EDUCATIONAL CHILDCARE SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO ALLOW PARENTS TO BE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED.
OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM IS FOR CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS-5 YEARS OF AGE. THE TOTAL ENROLLMENT FOR 2018-2019 WAS 221. CARE FOR CHILDREN INCLUDE AGE APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT. FAITH BASED TEACHING IS ALSO PART OF THE PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM. IN ADDITION TO DAILY LEARNING AND SPECIAL EVENTS, CHILDREN COULD CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN TOTS (TEAMS OF TOMORROW), WHICH ENHANCES SOCIAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT. THE PROGRAM ALSO USES MUSIC AND MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES CENTERED AROUND BASKETBALL TO PROMOTE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, BALANCE, AND COORDINATION. SPECIAL EVENTS THAT TOOK PLACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDE HOLIDAY PARTIES FOR HALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS, AND VALENTINE'S DAY, WHICH PARENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. BOOK FAIRS WERE HELD IN NOVEMBER AND MARCH. IN APRIL, A KINDNESS CAMPAIGN WITH KINDNESS THEMED CRAFTS AND ACTIVITIES WAS HELD TO IMPRESS THE VIRTUE OF KINDNESS UPON THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF PRESCHOOLERS. PROMISELAND EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATED IN A FALL FESTIVAL PUT ON BY THE LOCAL CHURCH OUR CENTER IS PARTNERING WITH. MANY CHILDREN ENROLLED IN PROMISELAND ATTENDED THIS EVENT. OTHER CHURCH WIDE EVENTS PROMISELAND FAMILIES WERE INVITED TO AND ATTENDED INCLUDE "NORTH POLE KAUFMAN" AT CHRISTMAS, AND AN EASTER EGG HELICOPTER DROP. TO PROMOTE PARENT SUPPORT AND INTERACTION PROMISELAND HOSTED "MUFFINS WITH MOM- AND "DONUTS WITH DAD." IN MAY, THE CHILDREN IN OUR 4-YEAR-OLD CLASSES WERE CELEBRATED WITH A GRADUATION CEREMONY AND PROGRAM. OVER 300 PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF THESE CHILDREN IN ATTENDED. IN JANUARY 2019, WE OPENED 6 NEW CLASSROOMS TO OUR 3-YEAR-OLD TO PRE-KINDERGARTEN. THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM IS FOR CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN-12 YEARS OF AGE. THE TOTAL ENROLLMENT FOR 2018-2019 WAS 51 CHILDREN. CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION AFTER SCHOOL. WHILE IN CARE THEY PARTICIPATED IN FAITH-BASED ACTIVITIES THAT FOCUS ON CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. THEY ALSO RECEIVED HELP WITH HOMEWORK FOLLOWED BY LEARNING CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES AND OUTDOOR PLAY TIME. DURING THE SUMMER CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN THEMED CAMP WEEKS WHICH INCLUDED A WEEK OF ACTIVITIES THAT FOCUSED ON THEMES SUCH AS SPORTS, MUSIC, DANCE, ART, SCIENCE, AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDING FISHING AND ARCHERY. FAITH BASED LESSONS WERE ALSO INCLUDED IN EACH WEEK'S THEME. WEEKLY FIELD TRIPS WERE ALSO PART OF THE SUMMER EXPERIENCE FOR THESE SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. WE PARTICIPATE IN THE CACFP/AT RISK AND THE SFSP FOOD PROGRAMS THROUGH TDA. THE CACFP/AT RISK PROGRAM HELPS REIMBURSE COST OF FOOD FOR OUR 6WEEKS-PRE-K AND BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE CHILDREN. WE PROVIDE BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND AFTERNOON SNACK FOR THE CHILDREN ENROLLED AT OUR CENTER. WE SERVE A LIGHT SUPPER FOR OUR BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM BENEFITS THE CHILDREN AT OUR CENTER BY ENSURING THEY GET WELL BALANCED MEALS DURING THE WEEK.
