To break the cycle of proverty through education and nutritional rehabilitation.
Nutritional and Health Program - Emergency nutritional and health treatment of extremely malnourished children for return to their families of origin following an average stay of 8 months which includes education where appropriate; nutritional education and counseling of home care givers to prevent recurrance of malnutrition; help with transportation and food to facilitate family ties during child's stay for at least 31 children and their families. In 2019 at least 63 other children received extended walk-in services of medicine and vitamins and specialized care when required; at least 1250 persons were cared for in one-time clinics and remote mountain villages.Technical School and Education- For education of at risk youth from the surrounding population, 167 young people studied from February to December in 2019 at our Technical school. 15 orphaned or abandoned children and youth from our home received traditional and special education.Community Outreach and Development- Support for felt-needs in 6 communities; supporting health, education, housing and infrastructure.
