The purpose of Opera Leggera is to produce original musical/theatrical productions that preserve cultural values and enrich audiences of all ages and backgrounds while providing professional singers, musicians, dancers, and actors the opportunity to perform in a professional theatrical setting alongside local talents in a collaborative, educational, and inspiring atmosphere.
With each performance season, Opera Leggera produces two or more original musical/theatrical productions to the North Houston area. These theatrical productions preserve cultural values in the form of music, drama and historical dance. Through the years, Opera Leggera has produced more than 20 original productions which have become the quality entertainment enjoyed by the entire community. Each Opera Leggera production is original and presented by a cast of singers, dancers, actors, and musicians, professional and amateur alike. Opera Leggera is dedicated to providing experienced and emerging artists the opportunity to perform in a professional, theatrical setting. Opera Leggera also strives to give gifted youth and adults in the community the opportunity to perform alongside these professional artists in a wholesome, encouraging environment. It is Opera Leggera's goal to transform the theatre-goer's appreciation of music and theatre into a lifelong passion.
Based in Houston, Texas, The Three Texan Tenors serves as an outreach group of Opera Leggera, comprised of a powerful trio of three, dynamic, classically trained vocalists with strong Texas roots that run deep and shine through in their every performance. Equipped with an expansive repertoire spanning musical genres that include opera, Broadway, jazz, patriotic, popular standard, inspirational, and much more, each tenor enjoys a successful and diverse solo career and contributes collectively to this outstanding music group. The Three Texan Tenors currently perform for large audiences all across the state of Texas.
Chris Holloway Ministries is a community ministry that strives to uplift and encourage those in the community with the gift of music through musical outreach efforts, including hospital visitations, mini-concerts in retirement homes, etc.
