CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY CRAFT COURSES UTILIZING THE NATIONALLY STANDARDIZED NCCER CURRICULUM WERE PROVIDED TO 898 STUDENTS.
THE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY; IT GIVES CTE TEACHERS RESOURCES AND NEW CONNECTIONS TO THE CURRENT HAPPENINGS IN THE INDUSTRY; AND IT ENCOURAGES INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION FROM COMPANIES WHO WILL SEEK TO FILL CONSTRUCTION POSITIONS. THERE WERE 66 PARTICIPATING HIGH SCHOOLS FROM 23 AREA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICTS PARTICIPATING IN 2019.
IN AFFILIATION WITH ASSOCIATED BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS OF GREATER HOUSTON, CMEF PROVIDED NON-CRAFT, SAFETY, AND COMMERCIAL TRAINING PROGRAMMING.
