JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT (JA) EMPOWERS YOUNG PEOPLE TO OWN THEIR ECONOMIC SUCCESS.
Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and to reach their potential. JAs Elementary programs lay the foundation for financial literacy education, and meet many of the requirements of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) that school districts must provide. For Middle and High School students, JA provides programs that identify the students interests and skills, and provides tremendous career options and budgeting information. JA programs meet the requirements seen in Texas House Bill 5, including financial literacy education, career options and workforce readiness skills.
