Organizations Filed Purposes: THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW, TEXAS, INC. IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW WILL BUILD AWARENESS AND IMPACT POSITIVE CHANGES AS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH PROJECT DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC INITIATIVES AND PUBLIC RELATIONS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTIONS AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

GRANTS AND ALLOCATIONS - THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW (JLL) PROVIDED GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND 38 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS DURING THE YEAR ENDED MAY 31, 2020. ALSO, JLL ALLOCATED APPROXIMATELY $58,000 TO IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS THAT IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY; THE IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS CONSIST OF SCHOOL SUPPLY CHAIN, READ AS ONE, KIDS IN THE KITCHEN, HELPING HANDS, MOTIVATE TO MOVE, AND DONE IN A DAY. THE SCHOOL SUPPLY TRAIN PROJECT WAS ALLOCATED APPROXIMATELY $42,000 WHICH PURCHASES BACK-PACKS, SUPPLIES, AND SERVICES FOR NEEDING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, BENEFITING APPROXIMATELY 2,400 LOCAL CHILDREN. GRANTS AND ALLOCATIONS ARE MADE TO FURTHER PROMOTE JLL'S MISSION. KIDS IN THE KITCHEN ADDRESSES THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF POVERTY AS IT RELATED TO CHILDREN AND NUTRITION. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, JLL AIMS TO PROVIDE NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS TO THE CHILDEN AND IMPROVE NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION.READ AS ONE IS A LITERACY PROJECT RUN BY THE JLL. READ AS ONE PROMOTES LITERACY WITHIN OUR LONGVIEW COMMUNITY BY WORKING WITH CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, WOMEN, AND THE ELDERY.GIRL TALK IS A DEVELOPMENT PROJECT RUN BY THE JLL. GIRL TALK IS DESIGNED TO FILL A DEVELOPMENTAL GAP IN 4TH AND 5TH GRADE GIRLS. THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS LEAGUE MEMBERS TO SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT FEMALE DEVELOPMENT.SKILLS FOR SUCCESS IS A MENTORING PROGRAM AIMED TO HELP FEMALES FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL AGES TO ADULTHOOD EXPLORE DIFFERENT CAREER OPTIONS, FIND THEIR PASSION AND GIVE THEM THE TOOLS TO HELP THEM BE SUCCESSFUL.VOLUNTEER MATTERS IS AN ON-LINE TOOL OUR MEMBERS USE TO SIGN-UP AND VOLUNTEER AT THE ABOVE LISTED PROGRAMS.

SALARIES & WAGES - COMPENSATES WORKERS FOR ASSISTING IN PROVIDING SERVICE TO MEET THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW'S OBJECTIVES.

NATIONAL DUES - THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW (JLL) IS A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION OF JUNIOR LEAGUES INTERNATIONAL, INC. (THE ASSOCIATION). AS A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION, THE LEAGUE PAYS ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES TO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES GUIDANCE AND REGULATIONS FOR JLL TO FOLLOW.
