EEFLC provides families with access to group course instruction offered by independed instructors. Each class is provided 1-3 hours, once or twice a week, for 16-32 weeks. EEFLC serves over 300 students and also provides involvement in athletics, arts, & STEM programs to encourage successful learning. We continue to increase our impact through expanding our course selection with a focus on offering higher level academic courses and dual credit opportunities with local colleges and universities.

The MakerBarn spent its second year working to acquire additional equipment, formulate steady open hours utilizing an all volunteer staff, and to gain membership by participating in local events like the Houston Maker Faire where we educated the public on various aspects of the maker movement and provided hands-on maker activities for children and adults. We maintained 100 members. From August-July 2018, members used the barn facility 3995 times. The MakerBarn also hosted activities including the Northwest Astronomy Club, Montgomery Youth Entreprenurship Club, Design Software Users Group, Houston Combat Robotics Meet-Up, Pinewood Derby Tune-up Day as well as hosting a twice monthly open house for the general public. We had 681 non-member visits between August 2017 and July of 2018.
