ENRICHING LIVES WITH THE ARTS THROUGH COMMUNITY-WIDE ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, OUTREACH AND PROMOTION!
ARTS COUNCIL OF MIDLAND HAS, FOR OVER THIRTY-NINE YEARS, THROUGH OUR MISSION, BEEN A VOICE FOR THE ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY BY ENRICHING LIVES WITH THE ARTS THROUGH COMMUNITY-WIDE ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, OUTREACH AND PROMOTION! IN THE BEGINNING, ARTS COUNCIL OF MIDLAND WAS FOUNDED TO PRESENT CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS. IN THE ENSUING THREE DECADES, ACM HAS DEVELOPED INTO A SUPPORTER FOR THE ARTS AND THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY, DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIDLAND AND AREA ARTS ORGANIZATIONS. MIDLAND'S EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC LIFE IS ESSENTIAL TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE OUR CITIZENS ENJOY. THROUGH MANY COLLABORATIONS WITH AREA ARTS ORGANIZATIONS ARTS COUNCIL OF MIDLAND IMPROVES THE LIVES OF THE CITIZENS OF MIDLAND.

OTHER PROGRAMS - OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE SCULPTURE GARDEN ON THE GROUNDS OF THE ARTS COUNCIL OFFICES, WHICH INCLUDES SEVERAL SCULPTURES WITH PLANS OF EXPANDING, A QUARTERLY VISUAL ART SERIES, THAT SHOWCASES VARIOUS AREA FINE ARTISTS AND AN ARTIST COMMUNITY MARKET, WHICH FEATURES LOCAL AND REGIONAL VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTISTS
CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS - ANNUAL FESTIVAL THAT BRINGS TOGETHER AN ARRAY OF ART ACTIVITIES, PERFORMANCES, AND DISPLAYS TO DOWNTOWN MIDLAND IN A FAMILY ORIENTED EVENT. CELEBRATION HIGHLIGHTS VISUAL ARTISTS, MUSIC, PERORMANCE, DANCE, THEATER, OPERA, BALLET, MUSEUMS, SCHOOLS AND DEMOSTRATIONS IN AN APPROACHABLE ARRANGEMENT THAT APPEALS TO PEOPLE FROM ALL LIFESTYLES AND VARYING LEVELS OF INTEREST.
