WE WERE UNABLE TO HAVE COURT SESSIONS OR ASSIGN IN PERSON COMMUNITY SERVICE AS OF MARCH 6, 2020. BY MARCH 27, 2020 IT BECAME APPARENT THAT WE WOULD NEED TO SEEK ALTERNATIVE MEASURES. WE WERE APPROVED BY OUR COURTS TO ALLOW EXTENSIONS TO COMPLETION DATES. WE CONTACTED ALL PARTICIPANTS AND PROVIDED THEM WITH ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO EARN COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDITS. THESE ALTERNATIVES INCLUDED WRITING LETTERS TO COMMUNITY LEADERS, FIRST RESPONDERS, AND HEALTH CARE WORKERS, WRITING ESSAYS, AND COMPLETING ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS. COMMUNITY SERVICE WAS ASSIGNED BASED ON THE OFFENSE RANK. PARTICIPANTS WILL MAKE UP JURY DUTY ONCE COURT RESUMES.
