PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM-THE NAGC PROVIDES EDUCATION TO PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE COUNSELING AND SUPPORT TO BEREAVED CHILDREN, TEENS AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR EDUCATION PROGRAMS INCLUDE MONTHLY ONLINE LIVE EDUCATION SESSIONS,ONSITE TRAINING AND SEMINARS IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE US AND AN ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM WHICH SERVES AS THE PREMIER PROFESSIONAL GATHERING FOR THE CHILDREN'S BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT FIELD. THIS PAST YEAR, WE PROVIDED EDUCATION TO OVER 3,000 PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS ACROSS N. AMERICA. OVER 2,000 ATTENDED OUR FALL WEBCAST, 450+ ATTENDED THE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM ON CHILDHOOD GRIEF, 500+ ATTENDED OUR WEBINARS AND HUNDREDS MORE WERE EDUCATED THROUGH LOCAL TRAININGS AND SEMINARS. REGISTRATION COSTS ARE KEPT LOW TO INCREASE ACCESS TO THE EVENTS BY SMALLER ORGANIZATIONS. MORE THAN 30 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE OFFERED LAST YEAR. OUR MONTHLY WEBINARS ARE OFFERED TO NAGC MEMBERS FOR FREE INCLUDING CEUS (UP TP 18 PER YEAR)
AWARENESS AND FIELD ADVANCEMENT-THE NAGC SERVES AS THE LEADER AND CONDUIT FOR NATIONAL AWARENESS AND FIELD ADVANCEMENT FOR THE CHILD- REN'S BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT FIELD. THE NAGC PROVIDES NATIONAL STANDARDS OF PRACTICE FOR THE CHILDREN'S BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT FIELD, COORDINATES ANNUAL SOCIAL MEDIA AND ONLINE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN'S GRIEF AWARENESS DAY IN NOVEMBER, AND COMPILES RESEARCH AND INFORMATION REGARDING CHILDREN'S GRIEF SUPPORT FOR EASY ACCESS TO PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS IN THE FIELD. NAGC MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM-THE NAGC OFFERS A CONNECTION AND COMMUNITY TO PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS PROVIDING COUNSELING AND SUPPORT TO BEREAVED CHILDREN, TEENS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH OUR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM. ANNUAL FEES ARE KEPT LOW, WITH MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES RANGING FROM $40 TO $75 PER YEAR. THIS PAST YEAR WE EXCEEDED 750 MEMBERS AND ARE CONTINUING TO SEE SUSTAINED GROWTH AS PROFESSIONALS FROM A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS, INCLUDING FUNERAL SERVICE, HOSPICE, MENTAL HEALTH, HEALTHCARE, FAITH
