Our Mission is to address challenges related to aging and develop efficient, flexible, and compassionate ways to meet the needs of our community. Senior Life Midland will improve the quality of life for seniors in Midland, Texas.
Provide and administer services for seniors of Midland through programs such as Meals on Wheels, Foster Grandparents, Senior Companions, Retired Senior Volunteers, Homebound Services, and management of Sr. Centers.
Nutrition program provides nutritious meals to elderly citizens through programs such as Meals on Wheels, Need A Meal, Share A Meal, and Congregate Meals. Approximately 158,000 meals were delivered in 2019. Volunteer hours totaled 16,352 in 2019.
Senior centers provide activities, educational opportunities, nutritional lunches and other social programs to adults age 55 and over. Volunteer service hours totaled approximately 60,000 in 2019.
Homebound services addresses the primary needs of low income elderly citizens through programs such as telephone reassurance, friendly visitor, grocery express, handyman, and one day at a time. Volunteer hours totaled approximately 1,350 in 2019. In 2019, approximately 1,200 persons received services from this program telephone reassurance calls totaled 1,346 and another 907 advocacy hours were volunteered.
