Organizations Filed Purposes:
Achievers by Choice is organized exclusively for educational, charitable, literary or scientific purposes including, for such purposes, as the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Articles, Achievers by Choice shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, engage in any activities or exercise any powers that are not in furtherance of the purposes of this organization, and the organization shall not carrying on any other activities not permitted to be carried on (a) by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or (b) by a corporation, contributions to which are deductible under Section 170(c)2 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Summer Enrichment Program (PreK-8) - Held our first Summer Enrichment Program for students in PreK-8 Grade, a 6-week program focusing on math and reading skills. Had 15 youth participate and 13 volunteers who worked with the program during the 6-week period.
Get AHEAD Test Prep Program (9-12) - Held our first Summer Test Prep Program for high school students in 9-12. The 6-week program focused on college admissions test general knowledge, test-taking strategies, and taking practice tests. Had 6 youth and 1 volunteer participate in the program.
Made two online programs--ABC Mouse and Adapted Mind--available to elementary and middle school participants during the academic year. Made a customized online program available for high school programs all year. There were no cost to the organization for any of the programs.
