To Engage, Educate, and Empower Communities of adult learners by advancing literacy skills & employment opportunities to achieve a better quality of life.
The Adult Education Center impact in 2019-2020 was made possible because of faithful supporters, the tenacity of our learners, the generosity of our board and volunteers, and the dedication of our staff. We are happy to share the following outcomes: -480 adult learners were served through our flagship programs; -35,218 instructional hours were delivered through paid instruction and volunteerism; -$920,080 was the total cost benefit returned to the community which included the value of volunteer support and allocated AEC's resources; -70 volunteers were engaged and helped AEC to improve lives and build better communities; -10 graduates earned their High School Equivalency Certificate/Credential; -10 adult learners completed their Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification; -72% of the adult learners served advanced at least once academic level and made significant progress towards and goals.
