Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts's (CSNTM) core program is the digitization of Greek New Testament manuscripts. In 2019, the Center digitized at four libraries: (1) Southern Methodist University's Bridwell Library--using multispectral imaging on a payrus manuscript, (2) Houston Baptist University's Dunham Bible Museum, (3) Southern Baptist Theological Seminary's Boyce Library, and (4) Erzabtei St. Martin zu Beuron in Germany.
CSNTM fulfills its academic and educational mission in two areas. (1) In 2019, CSNTM staff worked on a forthcoming book, wrote one published journal article, submitted a paper for presentation, and researched for other articles. (2) In 2019, one cohort of 3 students completed their academic internship and 3 new students started. Three recently graduated CSNTM internship alumni began PhD programs.
CSNTM provides free access to images of Greek New Testament manuscripts with the permission of the institute that owns the physical document. In 2019, all newly digitized manuscripts were made available on CSNTM's website as well as others made publicly available by the owners. More than 350 manuscripts were added to CSNTM's website in 2019.
