HELPING ALL STUDENTS IN THE PLANO SCHOOL DISTRICT ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO EDUCATORS AND ACADEMIC PROGRAMS.

PLANOUP! IS A COLLABORATION OF SIX ORGANIZATIONS WHICH BRINGS MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES TO CHILDREN WHO ARE AT RISK FOR DEPRESSION AND OTHER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES, WORKING THROUGH THE PLANO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT. THIS PROGRAM IDENTIFIES STUDENTS AT RISK FOR DEPRESSION AND FURTHER IDENTIFIES FAMILY NEEDS. IT PROVIDES EDUCATION TO STUDENTS THROUGH HEALTH CLASSES. IT PROVIDES COMMUNITY HEALTH LIASONS TO CONNECT SOCIAL SERVICES AND WORK ALONGSIDE SCHOOL COUNSELORS TO HOLISTICALLY ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE YOUTH EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK FOR DEPRESSION, AND IT PROVIDES A PROJECT MANAGER TO CONNECT ALL PARTS OF THE PROJECT AND OVERSEE DATA COLLECTION AND TRACK PROGRESS.
THE CORE STORE'S MISSION IS TO HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED BY EQUIPPING TEACHERS WITH DONATED CLASSROOM RESOURCES, PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERY PLANO ISD STUDENT TO HAVE THE SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN SCHOOL. THE CORE STORE PROGRAM ALLOWS TEACHERS TO SHOP FOR ADDITIONAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THEIR STUDENTS AT NO COST. ACROSS THE DISTRICT ONE OUT OF THREE STUDENTS IS CLASSIFIED AS ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED, WITH SOME CAMPUSES REACHING AS HIGH AS 90%. FOR THESE CAMPUSES, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND CLASSROOM MATERIALS REPRESENT A DAY-TO-DAY STRUGGLE FOR MANY STUDENTS.
GRANTS TO EDUCATORS IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES FUNDS TO PLANO ISD EDUCATORS. TEACHERS, GRADES OR ENTIRE SCHOOLS HAVE THE ABILITY TO APPLY FOR THESE GRANTS WHICH WILL FINANCIALLY SUPPORT PROJECTS THAT DEMONSTRATE INSTRUCTIONAL EXCELLENCE.
