Organizations Filed Purposes:
To rescue abandoned and abused animals and find permanent homes for them.
TMHPR rescued 322 dogs/puppies and 116 cats/kittens during the year for a total of 438 rescues, which represents an 80% increase from the previous year and a substantial increase from our normal rescue rate of 250 per year. We placed 285 dogs/puppies and 91 cats/kittens for adoption. Upon arrival to the center, each animal is evaluated by a vet, given necessary vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Any additional care is scheduled before adoption. We have continued our collaboration with local non-profit rescues and added collaboration with Going Home, an animal rescue transport organization.
