Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE MISSION OF THE VSC IS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY TO BECOME PARTNERS COMMITTED TO ENRICHING THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE.
TO PROVIDE BENEFITS TO THE CLIENTS OF THE RICHMOND STATE SCHOOL.
THE VOLUNTEER SERVICES COUNCIL OF THE RICHMOND STATE SUPPORTED LIVING CENTERS IS THE 501(C)(3), NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE AT THE RICHMOND STATE SUPPORTED LIVING CENTER. THE VSC WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1970, TWO YEARS AFTER THE RICHMOND STATE SCHOOL WAS OPENED. TODAY, THE VSC BOARD OF DIRECTORS SERVCES AS THE LIAISON TO THE COMMUNITY AND THE RICHMOND STATE SUPPORTED LIVING CENTER. THROUGH FUNDRASING EFFORTS, THE VSC HAS PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS: (1) MAJOR RENOVATIONS TO THE THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER (2) THE FAMILY HOUSE (3) THE OUTDOOR THERAPEUTIC CENTER (4) ESTABLISHMENT OF THE THERAPEUTIC RIDING CETNER (5) THE LITE ROCK CAFE (6) DORMITORY RENOVATIONS (7) THE NATATORIUM
