Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of Alpha Home is to offer a pathway of help, hope, and healing through spiritually based drug and alcohol treatment and support.

Alpha Home has been providing new beginnings for women and men in the San Antonio area for 55 years through building a pathway of help, hope and healing through spiritually based drug and alcohol treatment and support. Alpha Home was reaccredited in 2018 for three years by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for its Residential and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment programs. A subsequent one-year extension of the accreditation was awarded without review. We will be undergoing CARF reaccreditation in spring, 2022. We provide a continuum of care to support the spiritual and physical needs of our clients through the residential program which served over 300 women in 2019-2020.

Alpha Home Family First PPI clients participated Baby First FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Sessions to educate the client on the dangers of using alcohol during pregnancy. We served over 78 women during pregnancy 152 postpartum. We offered parenting classes focusing on ATOD (Alcohol Tobacco Other Drugs). We also offered parenting classes for families. Men in our PADRE (Parenting Awareness and Drug Risk Education) program completed a 6-week program. We served 50 men in the fiscal year. In fiscal year 2019-2020, we also offered the following programs: Family First, Pregnancy / Postpartum Intervention, Parenting Awareness, Drug Risk Education, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

We served 270 clients (men and women) in our Outpatient programs in the 2019-2020 Fiscal Year. Alpha Home Outpatient Clients received pre-treatment assessment and individualized treatment plans. Scheduling of meetings and classes were all monitored and assessed by Admissions Staff and Counseling Staff. Treatment plan was developed by the fifth service day and reviewed again on day 45. Clients are receiving three hours education group weekly and three hours counseling groups weekly and individual at least one hour bi-weekly.
