Organizations Filed Purposes:
BASIS Shavano Boosters Inc is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Texas. Boosters is composed of parents and other community members whose mission is to enrich the Basis Shavano school community by supporting students, families, teachers and administration through programs that promote school spirit, and by fundraising to support programs that improve health, wellness, and education of the student body.
Booster School Lunch Program - BASIS Shavano Boosters operates the Booster School Lunch Program which provides numerous benefits to the BASIS community. BASIS Shavano Boosters partner with Boonli.com to provide a secure, fast and easy-to-use online ordering system that allows BASIS Shavano parents to view the lunch menu, order and prepay and manage student lunches on the web. No child goes hungry at BASIS - an extension of the Booster School Lunch Program, Boosters also provide free lunches to BASIS Shavano students who qualify for the federal free lunch program.
Teacher Appreciation Committee - BASIS Shavano Boosters operates the Teacher Appreciation Committee or TAC. TAC provides numerous benefits to the teachers and administration of the BASIS Shavano school. TAC provides supplies for the school staff lounge, hosts themed luncheons, and makes gifts to staff to commemorate special occassions. As part of the teacher appreciation efforts, the Boosters makes annual contributions to the BASIS Annual Teacher Fund, which is used to recruit and retain the highest quality teachers through performance-based bonuses, and reward them for their effectiveness in the classroom.
Classroom Wish Lists - BASIS Shavano Boosters fulfilled wish lists for several classrooms as well as general requests by school administration. The goal was to enhance the learning environment and maximize learning strategies.
