The organization is a christian ministry formed to assist individuals in crisis with food, clothing, and specific financial assistance when necessary. This temporary support assists those individuals who are in need with nutrition, counseling, problem solving, and many other services.
During 2019, Christian Assistance Ministries assisted over 50,000 needy individuals in the San Antonio area in their respective time of crisis by providing immediate food, clothing, a mailing address, daily lunches, prescription medication assistance, transportation, financial help with rent, utilities, and other support in extreme emergencies. The organization receives no government support and leads with the message of love, kindness, grace, and mercy. CAM acts much like an emergency room of social services requiring no appointment and meeting peoples most urgent needs while then getting them connected to long term supports.
