Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROMOTE VOLUNTEERISM IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS.

THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SAN ANTONIO'S [JLSA] MISSION IS TO PROMOTE VOLUNTEERISM, DEVELOP THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVE COMMUNITIES. WE BEGIN WITH THE LEAGUE'S AWARD-WINNING NEW MEMBER PROGRAM, WHICH OFFERS VARIOUS TRAINING, MEETINGS, AND ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY AWARENESS. EACH YEAR, JLSA MEMBERS HAVE ACCESS TO MULTIPLE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOCUSING ON IN-LEAGUE EDUCATION, PERSONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT TRAINING. PLACEMENT-RELATED TRAINING INVOLVES TRAINING THE VOLUNTEERS IN THE NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR CURRENT VOLUNTEER POSITION. WE ARE PROUD TO NOTE IN THE 2019-2020 LEAGUE YEAR, 74% OF OUR EXPENSES DIRECTLY SERVE OUR MISSION. THE JLSA WORKS TO IMPROVE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS WITH 55 COMMUNITY AGENCIES. - CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE OTHE LEAGUE OFFERS BOTH VOLUNTEER HOURS AND GRANTS TO SUPPORT BOTH DONE-IN-A-DAY AND ON-GOING PROJECTS TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION. WE ARE CURRENTLY IN YEAR THREE OF A FIVE-YEAR CAMPAIGN, LEADING TOWARDS OUR 100TH ANNIVERSARY. THE PAVING NEW PATHS CAMPAIGN RAISES FUNDS FOR THE CLARITY CHILD GUIDANCE CENTER. THE JLSA RAISES FUNDS IN SEVERAL WAYS, INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTIONS, LARGE FUNDRAISERS, SPECIAL EVENTS, AND MEMBERSHIP.
