Ma Hilas Heart Project Foundation creates Member Making Moments for families battling childhood cancer. We serve others with urgent needs within our community.
Christmas in July - Because who doesnt love Christmas twice a year Expecially families battling childhood cancer. Ma Hilas Heart Project hosts400 guests of the biggest hearts within the community, and we celebrate with with these families. The event includes special guests like Santa Claus, Batman and the Alliance, Magic Mirror photo booth, Paws for Pets, Balloon Designers and so much more. Our friends in the hospitality industry including 30 restaurants and 30 hotels along the beautiful Riverwalk also provide staycation and meals for the families. Our community wraps our arms around these families, lift them up and let them enjoy life for a while. A smaller event was held in December. Reflected in the progam expense is the donated hotel rooms and meals for 35 families in the total estimated amount of 14,000.
Blanket Expense - Blankets specially designed Ma Hilas Heart Project, manufactured by the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind a local 503c3 organization and distributed to kids battling cancer within our hospitals.
Other Program Expense - Occupancy and consultant for setting up programs.
