THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF STRESS IS A CLEARINGHOUSE OF ALL STRESS RELATED INFORMATION. AIS PROVIDES A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT FOSTERS INTELLECTUAL DISCOVERY AND CREATES AND TRANSMITS INNOVATIVE KNOWLEDGE.
The American Institute of Stress (AIS) serves as a clearinghouse of all stress related information AIS provides a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters intellectual discovery, creates and transmits innovative knowledge, improves human health and provides leadership to the world on stress related topics. The mission of AIS is to improve the health of the community and the world by setting the standard of excellence of stress management in education, research, clinical care and the workplace. Diverse and inclusive, the American Institute of Stress educates medical practitioners, scientists, health care professionals and the public, and provides information, training and techniques to prevent human illness related to stress. AIS seeks to engage, educate and empower the global community with stress management information so that everyone can live longer, healthier and happier lives and be less reactive and more thoughtful in these challenging times. We fulfill our mission through the establishment of a broad range of programs and services, including publishing two free quarterly magazines: Contentment for everyone and Combat Stress for active duty service members, veterans and first responders. We also offer validated stress assessments to measure how people react to stressors, and a multitude of courses teaching people how to gain self-mastery of their stress including Stress to Joy and a meditation course. We also do webinars, podcasts and post daily blogs on a wide variety of stress related subjects. Finally, we credential health care professionals who utilize evidence-based stress management in their practices and encourage membership in the American Institute of Stress for all people interested in the science and practice of stress management.
