Mental Health Grace Alliance offers preventative and recovery mental health support for those dealing with depression, anxiety, mood instability, racing thoughts and any mental illness diagnosis. Our programs include Thrive - a mental health coaching program, Living Grace Groups and Family Grace Groups - support groups for family members and peers. In addition we offer training seminars that provide mental health education training to churches, faith based organizations, community leaders, and professionals. Our programs help to reinforce professional care, monitor recovery goals, utilize self-management tools, empowerment, and redefine a restful view of Christianity and self-worth.
We provide assistance and guidance to anyone affected with a mental health illness. We facilitate support groups as well as train support group leaders to facilitate their own groups in other parts of the United States. We provide mental health education training to churches, faith based organizations, community leaders, and professionals.
Our Family Grace Groups and Living Grace Groups are both a 16 week curriculum-based support group. Our Family Grace Groups are designed for families of those living with a mental health difficulty or disorder. Family Grace Groups provide psycho-education and practical tools within a supportive community. Both groups have expanded to 152 groups in 25 states across the U.S.. We have trained 100's of leaders online and in city wide trainings in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and San Diego. We've trained missionaries for our Living Hope Groups (trauma support group) to work with refugees in third-party nations with significant trauma.(Syria, Somalia, Uganda, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico)
Our Co/Founder, Joe Padilla has participated in many conferences such as Dallas Theological Seminary's "Ministry to the Marginalized" and Grant Halliburton Foundation's "Windows to Hope" (Mental Health and Youth Conference). He has trained in person and online all over the US including places like Arkansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Australia and multiple cities in Texas. After one of our Mental Health 101 clergy/community leaders training, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Executive Director in San Antonio wrote, "It was one of the best workshops that I have ever participated in and I was glad that NAMI was involved in the planing and implementation of this training".
