Organizations Filed Purposes:
Hillel for Utah seeks to inspire students to make a positive connection to Israel and Jewish life, learning, and values to this end, Hillel for Utah shall provide Jewish educational programming, cultural activities, connections for religious growth, as well as an inclusive campus community and leadership opportunities for students of all of Utah's colleges and universities. It is the intent of the Hillel for Utah corporation to conduct affairs that are wholly compatible with the 501(c)(3) code of the Internal Revenue Service.
Springboard Ezra Fellowship - The Springboard Ezra Fellowship has provided the director, a solo professional, with a staff member prepared to provide Jewish education through regular programming as well as work with student leaders and others on engagement. This fellowship has allowed the executive director to focus on administrative, fundraising, the board of directors, and strategic planning.
Student Engagement - Student engagement encompasses programming, student meals, student leader awards, tabling supplies, bagels for the Bagel Tuesday gatherings, coffee for student meetings. Bigger events like the Winter Shabbaton and welcome events are crucial for building student engagement.
Jewish Education - Jewish education has expanded from Torah and Tacos programming, regular Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and the Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF). While JLF was mostly grant-funded, the grant funds were to be used for student stipends and the Hillel for Utah budget paid for student meals during these sessions.
