Persevere is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to empower justice-involved men and women and individuals at risk for justice involvement to succeed as productive members of society. We do this by helping them develop the skills they need to be employable within the technology industry, either as employees or entrepreneurs, and helping them find jobs in the field. Our goal is to change lives through education, mentoring, and ongoing support.
Coding Classes The Coding Class program is self-paced with highly individualized instructor support. Students who can master the content more quickly can complete certification more rapidly than others. Those who need more time can have more time. Instruction is provided through six modules, each leading to certification. At the end of the third module, participants earn Front End Developer certification.
Transition Housing Program Once released from a correctional institute, participants involved in the Coding Class program have the option to live in a transition home provided by the organization.
Other Programs Other programs are designed to teach participants life skills and provide them with employment services to enable them to gain employment and and reinforce skills necessary for everyday interactions.
