MONITORED 27 PIECES OF LEGISLATION DURING SESSIONS. SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED INTEREST RATE CAPS FROM LEGISLATION. PASSED A BILL THAT ALLOWS CREDITORS TO NOTIFY INDIVIDUALS BY ELECTRONIC MAIL WHEN SUBMITTING A NEGATIVE CREDIT REPORT. AMENDED MANDATES ON WIRE TRANSFERS THAT WOULD HAVE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST STATE-CHARTERED INSTITUTIONS. REMOVED STATE FORECLOSURE REQUIREMENTS THAT WERE INCONSISTENT WITH FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS. ESTABLISHED EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMUNITY TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION DURING PANDEMIC. REGULARLY COORDINATED MEMBER BANK PPP LOAN EFFORTS. RE-ENGINEERED UTAH.BANK WEBSITE FOR A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE TO PUBLIC REGARDING GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. WORKED CLOSELY WITH UT GOVERNOR'S OFFICE TO ENSURE EXECUTIVE ORDERS PROPERLY RECOGNIZED BANKS AS CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND ADDRESSED ISSUES DURING PANDEMIC.
EDUCATION: UBA CONTINUES TO EXPAND THE EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. YEAR LONG PROGRAM PROVIDES INTENSIVE 12 MONTH PROGRAM OF EDUCATION ON A WIDE RANGE OF BANKING TOPICS. UBA HAS ENROLLMENT OF MANY STUDENTS FROM A WIDE RANGE OF BANKS. THE INITIAL REPORTS FROM THE STUDENTS AND BANKS WAS OUTSTANDING. EXECUTED BANKER DAY AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE. ORGANIZED AND HELD THE CREDIT ANLYST DEVELOPMENT FOR 16 BANKERS. PRIOR TO PANDEMIC, PLANNED AND HELD 5 CONFERENCES REACHING 486 BANKERS. MOVED SEVERAL PRE-PLANNED EVENTS AND MEETINGS FROM LIVE TO VIRTUAL. COORDINATED WITH UT GOVERNOR TO DECLARE NOVEMBER 2019 AS "GET SMART ABOUT CREDIT MONTH" IN UTAH. UBA MADE 185 GET SMART ABOUT CREDIT PRESENTATIONS TO HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES, REACHING OVER 13,000 STUDENTS.
