Organizations Filed Purposes:
To mentor families globally through education and entrepreneurship in an effort to eliminate physical, mental, spiritual and emotional poverty, while preserving culture and tradition. Families in Kenya don't need a handout, they need a hand up. We go a bit deeper by joining hands and teaching each other. We teach families how to leverage their resources through economic development and self-reliance. They teach us about love, gratitude, simplicity, and joy. If you arrived here, it's because you were led here. You know that the best personal development is found when serving others. Our expeditions will take you deep into the heart of the Maasai Mara in Kenya, and you will experience two years of personal development in two weeks.
Mentoring Families in Self-Reliance At the core of what we do is to support the family. We believe that the best way to support a student as they are going through their education, is to mentor their family in self-reliance and economic development, so that they all progress together. We have worked with over 100 families in Kenya with our Business Box for Families program, and have taught stewardship and business skills to families in 8 different communities.
Training Centers for Economic Development We have built two training centers in our communities in Kenya, where we have set up sewing and literacy projects for families. Our next project includes classrooms and a computer lab at the Emparnat Cultural Centre on the Maasai Mara.
Women's Initiatives Our Women's Initiatives have helped drive many of our objectives over the past 5 years. Whether we are fundraising for Days for Girls Kits, assembling Rescue Kits, hosting Sew-a-thons, or mentoring and training in Kenya, our goal is always to help women develop their skills to help their families.
