NEYT PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE IN THEATRE ARTS TO YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES BY ENGAGING THEIR INTELLECTS, BODIES AND IMAGINATIONS IN THE CREATIVE ENDEAVOR.
IN 2017, NEYT MOVED FORWARD ON PHASE TWO OF ITS CAMPUS REVITALIZATION PROJECT TO ADDRESS THE SOIL REMEDIATION AND REMOVAL OF THE LIVERY BUILDING ON SITE. THIS PROJECT IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN 2018. NEYT EXPANDED ITS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN DESIGN & TECHNICAL THEATRE TO INCLUDE ALL DISCIPLINES WITH THE HELP OF THE CLOWES FUND AND CANADAY FAMILY TRUST. WE CONTINUED THE TOWN SCHOOLS THEATRE PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH THE AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE FREE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING AND EXPANDED THE PIT BAND PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BRATTLEBORO MUSIC CENTER. THE THEATRE CONTINUES THE PROCESS OF REDEVELOPING THE PROPERTY IT HOLDS INTO A THRIVING ARTS CAMPUS AND CONTINUE ITS MISSION TO PROMOTE THE ARTS TO YOUNG PEOPLE.
