OUR GOAL IS TO BUILD MEANINGFUL SOLUTIONS BY IDENTIFYING AND ELEVATING THE VOICES OF ACTORS FROM A NUMBER OF VULNERABLE GROUPS INCLUDING PRISONERS, MEMBERS OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY,AND CENTRAL AMERICAN ASYLUM-SEEKERS.WE ALSO HOST INTERCULTURAL GLOBAL SCHOOL SEMINARS IN EL SALVADOR. THE GLOBAL SCHOOL CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY, RELIGIOUS, STUDENT AND PROFESSIONAL LEADERS FROM DIFFERENT CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS TO ENGAGE WITH ONE ANOTHER AND LEARN TOGETHER HOW TO PROMOTE AND DEFEND HUMAN RIGHTS THROUGH THE LENS OF SALVADORAN EXPERIENCE.VICTIM ADVOCACY PROGRAMTHIS PROGRAM HAS UNIQUE CAPABILITY TO PROVIDE HOLISTIC DIRECT LEGAL, HUMANITARIAN, PSYCHOSOCIAL ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF GENERALIZED VIOLENCE, HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AND FORCE DISPLACEMENT. THIS ASSISTS HUNDREDS OF CENTRAL AMERICANS IN THE NTCA (NORTHERN TRIANGLE OF CENTRAL AMERICA) PROVIDING IMMEDIATE AND LIFE-SAVING PROTECTION AND SHELTER, ACCESS JUSTICE AND SOCIAL SERVICES NECESSARY TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES. THE PROGRAM TAKES A LEARNING APPROACH AND SEEKS TO DEVELOP NEW AND INNOVATIVE ASSISTANCE MODELS BASED ON EMERGING NEEDS THAT CAN BE SHARED WITH OTHER STATE AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS TO STRENGTHEN VICTIM ASSISTANCE CAPACITIES IN THE REGION.STRATEGIC LITIGATIONOUR STRATEGIC LITIGATION PROGRAM USES LAWSUITS IN EMBLEMATIC CASES AT THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL TO ADVANCE PROCESSES FOR STRUCTURAL CHANGE TO ADVANCE HUMAN RIGHTS AND PROMOTE ACCOUNTABILITY. THE STRATEGIC LITIGATION PROGRAM SUPPORTS TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE IN EL SALVADOR IN THE PROSECUTION OF THE 1981 EL MOZOTE MASSACRE, ONE OF THE LARGEST UNPROSECUTED WAR CRIMES IN THE WORLD, AND THE 1982 EL CALABOZO MASSACRE. THE PROGRAM ALSO HAS A MANDATE TO LITIGATE EMBLEMATIC CONTEMPORARY HUMAN RIGHTS CASES IN CENTRAL AMERICA'S TRIANGLE.
