Our mission is to advance a business ethic that values multiple bottom lines--economic, social and environmental.
VBSR Membership Services provides general membership service and support relating to socially responsible business practices, including resources via a website, newsletters, and networking and educational programs. VBSR also serves members as an information clearinghouse on socially responsible business practices and resources.
Local First Vermont, which includes the creation of the Buy Local Book and mobile app, promotes supporting community economies through buying local and a variety of outreach and educational activities, including the Buy Local Facebook page, the development of the Local First Vermont Resource Guide and Coupon book and mobile app, and other outreach and education activities.
Educational and Other Programs. Other programs are programs and services not offered on a regular basis, such as one-time workshops or educational offerings we present or co-present with other organizations. This category can also include assessing the feasibility of potential new programs. This year, we also conducted a series of workshops helping businesses set and achieve goals related to workplace quality, community engagement and environmental impact.
