Organizations Filed Purposes: CAFC's mission is to make a difference in our community by providing resources for financial assistance, supplemental and nutritional food, affordable clothing and household goods, as a 100% volunteer-operated organization.

CAFC operates a food shelf where community members may access fresh fruits and vegetables, a large variety of nutritional staples and food provided by the Vermont Food Bank.

CAFC provides financial assistance to community members for a variety of challenges. In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, the organization provided $17,925 to individuals in need of rental assistance ($1,437): utilities assistance ($4,580); heating assistance ($7,082); gas cards for medical travel ($200); vehicle repairs ($1,488); miscellaneous needs ($3,138); and, $400 to community groups providing additional assistance to community members in their times of need.

CAFC operates a small thrift store where community members in need can access gently-used clothing at no cost. Revenue from thrift store shoppers is then used to provide financial assistance to community members in need, as described above.
