The mission is to support the development of new performance works and to connect creation and presentation of contemporary performance work with residents of the communities we serve in rural Southeastern Vermont.
In FY19 two projects were supported through the Lab a semester long artist residency with theater artist Ain Gordon to support the research, development and presentation of new interdisciplinary performance work through a collaboration with Marlboro College and Green Mountain Crossroads which included 24 artist residency days, 16 in-classroom events, 8 community engaged research days and two public events from September-December 2019 and VPLs Last Dance Party, a community celebration of the arts in rural communities on June 22, 2019.
