THIS COST-SHARING SCHOLARSHIP MODEL PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT NETWORK TO STATES THAT ARE COMMITTED TO INCREASING THE AVAILABILITY OF ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE COLLEGE EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE SUPPORTS FOR PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN A VARIETY OF EARLY EDUCATION SETTINGS.
CONFERENCES - VERMONT'S LARGEST EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENT, OUR ANNUAL 3-DAY FALL CONFERENCE SERVES OVER 500 EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS. WE ALTERNATE LOCATIONS BETWEEN UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT'S DAVIS CENTER AND THE KILLINGTON GRAND HOTEL. WE STRIVE TO BRING NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, REGIONAL FEATURED SPEAKERS AND STATE-LEVEL PRESENTERS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. VAEYC ALSO ACTS AS A FISCAL AGENT FOR CERTAIN VERMONT AGENCY OF EDUCATION CONFERENCES AND CHARGES AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.
TUITION GRANTS AND CERTIFICATE BONUSES - VAEYC ADMINISTERS THE VERMONT CHILD DEVELOPMENT DIVISION PROFESSIONAL GRANTS AND LEVEL CERTIFICATE ACHIEVEMENT BONUSES. LEVEL CERTIFICATE BONUS AMOUNTS ARE DEPENDENT ON THE LEVEL CERTIFICATE ACHIEVED AND RANGE FROM $100 TO $1,200. THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS INCLUDE: CDA ASSESSMENT FEE GRANT, THE COLLEGE TUITION GRANT, THE PEER REVIEW ASSESSMENT FEE GRANT, THE GED ASSESSMENT FEE GRANT AND THE AFTERSCHOOL PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION BONUS GRANT. VAEYC RECEIVED A GRANT OF $210,231 TO ADMINISTER THIS PROGRAM.
