Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide education and training of skiers and academic education services during the winter months to students training as competitive skiers.
Ski Club - Since 1934, Mt. Mansfield Ski Club has offered on-snow ski programs for kids aged 7 to 19 years old. In addition to technical skiing skills, these programs strive to teach our student-athletes the values of sportsmanship and teamwork and instill a lifelong love of skiing. Approximately 250 young athletes participated in these on-snow programs. *** The Ski Club hosts various ski race events throughout the winter. This year, we hosted 32 event days averaging 150 competitors per event. Our largest race events were the annual Sugar Slalom (80th anniversary), UVM Winter Carnival, Stowe Derby, plus other local, state, regional, and national championship races. Our race venue, Main Street, is widely known as one of the best in the country. *** In addition, we operate a full-service professional ski tuning facility. It is staffed by full-time technicians, operates year-round, and is open to our members and the general public.
Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy - To support our student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence, we operate an Approved Independent School with 44 students in grades 7 through Post- Graduate enrolled this year. The school operates for five months of the year, between November and the end of March. Of the 44 students, 11 are boarding students and 33 are day students.
