The mission of the Morrill Memorial and Harris Library is to foster a love of reading and to encourage lifelong learning for patrons of all ages. To this end, the library provides free public library services to residents of Strafford and others.
Public Library - Dedicated to providing Library Services to the people of Strafford, Vermont and surrounding area.
The Library Provides Library Services of Loaning Books, Periodicals, DVD's, and Audio Books. The Library received over 3,000 Patron visits during 2017, and circulated over 9,000 items, plus Patrons downloaded 483 electronic books/audio books through the Library's lending programs.
The Library Provides Reading Programs that encourage the love of books and reading for both Adults and Children. During 2018 over 70 programs were held by the library with attendance ranging up to 120 people, including: 12 preschool story hours, an afterschool reading and activity program that met for 30 weeks, a Summer Children's Program that met 6 times with 24 Children participating,
Provides Library Patrons Free Access to High Speed Internet Services through the Library Computers. The Library also offers access to downloadable E-Books and downloadable Audio Books. The library also provides individul help on how to use the computers and internet at the request of Library Patrons.
