Organizations Filed Purposes:
Providing education, research and linkages for working class and disenfranchised people to promote understanding, empowerment and change providing a link between community and labor groups struggling around common issues, provide housing counseling and decent housing that is affordable to low-end and moderate income people and volunteers, engage in production of affordable housing and serve a geographic area that cosists of appalachia with primary focus on West Virginia.
YouthBuild is our biggest project and we help highschool dropouts obtain thier GEDs (probably around 15 in 2018) and repair/rehabilitate /construct affordable housing for low income owner-occupied families. Roughly 40 repairs and 15 rehabs were completed in 2018.
Next is our summer foods (over 2000 meals in 2018), Energy Express (30 for the summer), and Accent Education After School (25 daily except Friday for the school year)
