Organizations Filed Purposes: TO CARE FOR UNWANTED ANIMALS UNTIL HOMES ARE FOUND OR HUMANELY EUTHANIZED.

OUR RESCUE/ADOPTION CENTER CONTINUES TO HOUSE UPWARDS OF 50 CATS WHILE AWAITING THEIR PERMANENT HOMES. OUR WEEKLY ADOPTION EVENTS, ALONG WITH OFFSITE ADOPTIONS, SAW 200 CATS FIND HOMES. WE CONTINUED OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH FRANKIE'S FRIENDS MOBILE SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC, SPONSORING FIVE CLINICS AND ALTERING OVER 220 CATS. WE FUNDED THE COST OF MORE THAN 80 OF THOSE SPAY AND NEUTER SURGERIES AT $55 EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF $4,400. WE CONTINUED OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY CATS TNR IN THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY IN THEIR MISSION TO TRAP, ALTER AND VACCINATE BOTH FERAL AND STRAY CATS BEFORE RETURNING THEM TO THEIR FAMILIAR COLONIES. BECAUSE OF THE GENEROSITY OF THE LOCAL WALMART DISTRIBUTION CENTER, WE WERE ABLE TO START A PET FOOD BANK, HELPING CARETAKERS OF CAT COLONIES, AS WELL AS INDIVIDUALS IN NEED, FEED THE CATS AND DOGS IN THEIR CARE. WE APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED A MATCHING GRANT FOR $7,000 FOR SPAYING AND NEUTERING FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. A TOTAL OF 238 ANIMALS WERE ALTERED. BECAUSE OF THE ENORMOUS NEED, WE THEN WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND BY SPENDING AN ADDITIONAL $3,000 PLUS TO CONTINUE SPAYING AND NEUTERING ANIMALS AFTER THE GRANT MONEY WAS EXHAUSTED. WE PAID FOR EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE ON MANY OCCASIONS, ELIMINATING ANIMALS' SUFFERING AND ENABLING THEIR RECOVERY.
