Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission at ASK (After School for Kids) Program is to provide a safe, effective, and enriching after school program for students in grades Pre-K - 6 and at the HS level, grades 9-12. At ASK, we strive to inspire and empower youth, while also aligning with the school day, supporting families, and strengthening our community.

To provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children in grades K-8 in Cheyenne, WY.

Our primary program is providing safe after school learning centers in Laramie County. ASK enrolled 210 participants in school year and summer programs,serving 5 Title I and Free and Reduced eligible elementary schools. By establishing 21st Century Community Learning centers, ASK implemented programs during out of school time for focus areas concentrating on academic enrichment as measured by expenses. Establish community learning centers that help students in high-poverty, low-performing schools meet academic achievement standards. ASK operated and delivered curriculum designed to support the school day and target low-performing proficiency students in the following areas:Language arts/reading/math/science as measured from Fall to Spring by NIOST (National Institute for Out of School Time) Wyoming Department of Education Annual Performance Report.

ASK offered a broad array of high-quality enrichment activities that are aligned with and complement the regular academic school day while positively affecting student outcomes such as school attendance and academic performance and decreasing behavioral risk factors. Program goals focused on improving the number of regular program attendees who demonstrate improved school attendance. And whose homework completion and class participation improve from fall to spring according to the teacher survey. Increase the number/percentage of regular program attendees who demonstrate improved attitudes toward learning, increased engagement in learning, and increases in other positive educational, social emotional, and behavioral changes as a result of participating in the 21CCLC program.

Addressing Parent Engagement, ASK provided programming to engage the families of 21st CCLC participants to increase parent/family engagement in learning and developing resiliency through positive home/school relationships. ASK worked to increase the number of family members of 21st CCLC participants that demonstrate engagement in the program and in the education of their child. Parent attendance at ASK dinner literacy events and student showcase activities increased to 1 8 0 family participants , including grandparents, siblings and extended family. as measured by attendance.
