Inspired by wonder, we empower creative leaders and advocate for the arts in Jackson Hole.
GRANT PROGRAM: An important source of funding for arts organizations, designed to support creativity, artists-in-residence programs, partnerships to support artists, and creative education. Since the inception of this program, 183 grants have been awarded to over 67 artists and organizations, reaching more than 83,000 community participants. It is a seed-fund that nurtures creative leadership and visions.
PARTNERSHIPS: Center of Wonder promotes enhanced funding and appreciation of creative initiatives in Teton County, WY in partnership with Teton County and the Town of Jackson through the Arts for All grants program. Center of Wonder implements this grant program to provide financial support to artists and arts organizations.
WONDER INSTITUTE: A program of Center of Wonder, the Wonder Institute empowers creative transformation for young people ages 15-25 years old and seeks to offer engaging and effective education programs and specialized projects for Teton County youth. Anchored in curiosity and partnership, the Wonder Institute will be a nexus for education, training and support for the next generation of creative and compelling leaders. In addition to offering digital media lab workshops for filmmaking and photography, we worked with a number of partners to increase our reach and accessibility. Through speaker engagements, visual storytelling, and workshops, we connect our community with experts in arts and science through 2019 events such as the Voices of Wonder Film Festival, National Geographic photograpy exhibitions, Hubbard Street Undercover Episodes (in partnership with Dancer's Workshop) and the Environment for Development Conference.
