Organizations Filed Purposes: Jackson Hole Public Art (JHPA) forges partnerships for the integration of art into any environment to inspire lasting cultural, educational, and economic benefits. We produce community-minded, artist-driven projects for public spaces that are free and accessible to everyone.

Commission public art that celebrates local values; facilitate partnerships to create engaging public space; provide opportunities for artists; and increase access, understanding, and investment in public art.

JHPA enhances public space by integrating art that celebrates our unique environment and cultural heritage. In 2019 we engaged over 700 youth through our Summer Artmobile that provided free art-making activities, books, and food to youth in their neighborhoods; we worked with 45 artists, and recorded over 1,000 event attendees. We facilitate creative placemaking partnerships with civic and private entities such as Rendezvous Park (FoundSpace), Jackson Hole Community Pathways (youth murals), Astoria Park Conservancy (welcome art installation), and the Center for the Arts (public piano). We provide art consulting services to local entities including St. John's Health Center (oversee the commission of healing artworks for medical care facilities), and the Town of Jackson (artist-made street furniture). JHPA also produced the Public Art and Placemaking Toolkit for Rural Communities available on our website. JHPA directs a wide variety of temporary artworks and creative placemaking events that offer paid opportunities for artists including GLOW Nights (6, temporary, lighted installations), ArtSpot (a sculpture and rotating art venue that changes bi-annually), Wild Walls (annual town-wide murals that showcase the art of local artists), and Moonshot 5x5 ("shoot for the moon" public art pitch night).
