ESTABLISH SCHOLARSHIPS TO ASSIST NEEDY AND DESERVING STUDENTS AND TO PROMOTE THE IMPROVEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, ENGAGE IN VOLUNTEER SERVICE AND MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO VETERANS HOSPITALS AND PERFORM SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE ACIVITIES INCLUDING NATIONAL PRESIDENTS' PROJECTS AS MAY BE PROVIDED BY THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OR BYLAWS OF THE SOCIETY.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FOUNDED WITH THE MISSION OF PROMOTING HISTORIC PRESERVATION, EDUCATION AND PATRIOTISM.

PATRIOTISM IS SHOWN THROUGH SUPPORT OF THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA COMMITTEE WHICH FUNDS THE PURCHASE OF US FLAGS THAT ARE DISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES OF FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS AT THE NATIONAL FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION'S MEMORIAL SERIVCE. THE NATIONAL AWARDS COMMITTEE PROVIDES MEDALS OF AWARD FOR JROTC AND ROTC STUDENTS AND AWARDS ARE PRESENTED TO MILITARY ACADEMIES FOR HIGHEST ACHIEVEMENT. THE GOLDEN ACORNS COMMITTEE SUPPORTS THE FISHER HOUSE BY PURCHASING BOOKS AND TOYS FOR CHILDREN STAYING AT FISHER HOUSE WHILE THEIR FAMILY MEMBER IS RECOVERING FROM INJURIES. THE VETERANS' SERVICES COMMITTEE PROVIDES GIFTS AND SERVICES TO VETERANS' HOMES AND HOSPITALS AS WELL AS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THE WOUNDED WARRIORS PROJECT.

HISTORICAL PRESERVATION OF NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS IS TO MAINTAIN ITS PERIOD OF AUTHENTICITY. THE PROPERTY IS IN SHERIDAN KALORAMA HISTORIC DISTRICT. IN 1989, THIS DISTRICT WHICH INCLUDES 610 HISTORIC BUILDINGS WAS LISTED IN THE D.C. INVENTORY OF HISTORIC SITES AND ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. IN ADDITION, THE NATIONAL SOCIETY'S GENEALOGICAL RECORDS ARE BEING SCANNED TO MAINTAIN THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE IN THE ORGANIZATION'S HISTORICAL RECORDS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR RESEARCH.
