The mission of Premier Alliances, Inc. is to improve lives of people with disabilities through employment opportunities.
Premier Alliances, Inc. continued to meet its stated mission throughout the 2020 Fiscal Year by providing employment opportunities to individuals with additional needs. Over that time, Premier Alliances employed as many as 56 people, 34 of whom had a diagnosed disability. Additional programming included a technology course for employees, which helped guide them on basic features of smartphones, as well as how to be safe on the Internet.Over the course of the 990 date range (July 2019 to June 2020), Premier Alliances made several contributions and engaged in multiple efforts which aligned with the organizations mission of Improving the Lives of People with Disabilities.These included promoting the efforts of the Cochise Area Network of Therapeutic Equestrian Resources (CANTER), a 501(c)(3) through our own social media profiles and sponsoring their annual fundraising dinner.Through its custom apparel and gift business, Print & Stitch, Premier Alliances also provided a discount of custom t-shirts to the Autism Society of Southern Arizona in support of their 14th Annual Autism Walk and Resource Fair in exchange for sponsor-level promotion of Print & Stitch. In February 2020, Premier Alliances was the major contributor of funds to the Willcox Historic Theater in support of their efforts to convert a former utility room into an ADA-compliant restroom.In the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Premier Alliances was able to secure enough personal protective equipment (PPE) to make substantial donations of items like masks and hand sanitizer to the local homeless shelter, first responders, and municipal government.Over the course of the fiscal year Premier Alliances also made steady progress on the design and development of the Founders Garden, a 30,000 square acre therapeutic garden space located on our campus is Bisbee, Arizona. A private space open to the public, the Founders Garden will serve as a healing space for the community, as well as a location for day programming for our fellow nonprofit partners who also serve individuals with additional needs.During this time, Premier Alliances staff, at the direction of its Board of Directors, also began the development of the Founders Scholarship, which is designed to support the post-secondary educational goals of individuals with disabilities, and their caretakers. The scholarship is being administered with the support of the Arizona Community Foundation, and is expected to launch this spring.
