WORK IN MONGOLIA: Trained 60 health care workers and social workers in Dornod province tobe hepatitis coordinator complete with teaching aids and tools for them to support theircommunity. Conducted a medical clinic in Tov province for 80 people who had tested positivehepatitis B or C. Including visiting specialists from Saga University in Japan, FibroScan andultrasound examinations. Began a long-term collaboration for liver health in Mongolia withSaga University.Led two tour trips in Mongolia with 10 people between both trips. Importedthree traditional Mongolian yurts.
WORKWORK IN NEPAL:Continued our long-term partnership with Western Sydney University inAustralia to lead cultural heritage projects in Langtang, Nepal. Completed the last two of threebuildings on the heritage trail.Began production of the content for the tablets inside thebuildings including two videos detailing cultural legends. Led two medical volunteer trips withseven volunteers between both trips. Conducted a medical needs and health assessment ofcommunity members in Langtang. Developed a plan to support the only clinic serving thevillage of 400 people. Conducted training on high altitude breathing assistance. Distributedbasic hygiene and health supplies to 60 of the most vulnerable community members. Supportthe clinic in Langtang with necessary medical supplies. Distributed 3 months of food for the 6most vulnerable elders.
FIREWORKS THRIFT STORE SOLD DONATED, GENTLY USED, NAME BRAND WINTER CLOTHING AND GEAR IN FLAGSTAFF, AZ WHICH SUPPORTED THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS. STORE REOPENED IN 2018 ONLINE. Awarded Guidestars platinum level of transparency.
