Organizations Filed Purposes: ALIENTO serves undocumented, DACA, and mixed immigration status families to transform trauma into hope and action. We are youth-led and directly impacted people and allies who are invested in the well being, emotional healing, and leadership development of those impacted by the inequities of lacking an immigrations status

Our work is divided into three main areas: Cultiva, Nurture, and Transform. The first, Cultiva, is the home of our Art & Healing Programs, which has two umbrellas: in community and at school. In the community, we offer Art & Healing workshops and open mics open to anyone in the community, ages 7 and up. At schools, we partner with elementary and middle schools and do our programming at the school sites. Nurture is the Leadership Development and Ally Engagement part of our organization. We work with high schools, community colleges, and universities to increase youths agency, leadership, and self-advocacy. We provide paid fellowships, internships for school credit and help create and develop student hubs at high schools, colleges, and universities across Arizona. Our Transform program is rooted in the sentiment that no one can accomplish things alone. We believe in broadening our coalition of support to create sustainable change in our communities and achieve our mission of transforming trauma into hope and action. This is why we do professional development for educators, host ally engagement trainings with faith, school leaders, and state legislators.
