EMPOWER YOUTH TO SPEAK UP BY PROVIDING STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS WITH THE TOOLS TO RECOGNIZE AND POSITIVELY RESPOND TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CUES IN THEIR PEERS TO ENHANCE SCHOOL SAFETY AND PREVENT TRAGIC RESULTS FROM THE ILL EFFECTS OF UNINFORMED SELF-MEDICATION AND SELF-COMPENSATION, SUCH AS SUICIDE AND OVERDOSE.
IN THE ORGANIZATIONS FIRST YEAR RECOGNIZED AS A 501(C)3 WE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:-WE HOSTED THE FOURTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE AT GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY ARENA FILLED WITH PARTICIPANTS WHICH WERE COMPRISED OF STUDENTS, VOLUNTEERS, COUNSELORS, FACILITATORS, LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, AND BUSINESSES WHO ALL UNITED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF OUR YOUTH-OUR STATISTICS INDICATE THERE WERE 4,500 ATTENDEES, 450 VOLUNTEERS, 35 SPONSORS, 157 SCHOOLS, 54 SCHOOL DISTRICTS, 27 CITY AND COUNTY PROCLAMATIONS, 10 POLICE CHIEFS, 6 ASSISTANT CHIEFS AND 100+ LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AT THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE-WE REACHED OUT TO MORE THAN 400,000 STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR-WE HONORED 4 INDIVIDUALS AT THE CONFERENCE WITH A "DIFFERENCE MAKER AWARD"
