TO CREATE A UNIFIED COMMUNITY BY MEETING CHARITABLE NEEDS OF THE GREEN VALLEY AREA THROUGH GRANTS, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND OTHER SERVICES TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL BY ATTRACTING AND MANAGING IN PERPETUITY CAPITAL GIFTS (LIVING AND TESTAMENTARY) FROM INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, CORPORATIONS, AGENCIES AND PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS. TO EXERCISE LEADERSHIP IN SELECT COMMUNITY ISSUES AND ADVANCE THE CAUSE OF ORGANIZED PHILANTHROPY THROUGHOUT THE GREEN VALLEY AREA.

GRANTS WERE MADE TO 32 LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING FOODBANKS, ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE HEALTH, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES, EDUCATION AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS, ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS, VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORTING AREA ARTISTS.

COVID RELIEF FUNDS WERE GRANTED TO AREA ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING 1) COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY NEEDS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC; 2) ANIMAL RELIEF FUND TO KEEP PEOPLE AND THEIR BELOVED PETS TOGETHER DURING THE PANDEMIC; 3) TUBAC RESORT FUND TO HELP SUPPORT FURLOUGHED EMPLOYEES; AND 4) TUBAC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FUND.

BASED ON THE NON-PROFIT TRAINING WORK THE FOUNDATION PIONEERED WITH THE NON-PROFIT LEARNING INSTITUTE, WE ARE EXPANDING AND BROADENING THAT WORK BY CREATING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HUB (CDH). THE CDH WILL BUILD A COLLABORATIVE NETWORK OF THE LEADERS OF AREA BUSINESSES, NON-PROFITS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGED IN EDUCATION, SOCIAL SERVICES, ENVIRONMENT, ANIMAL AND HUMAN RIGHTS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND ART AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS. THE CDH WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS THROUGH FACILITATING COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS TO DETERMINE AND PRIORITIZE CRITICAL NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY AND ESTABLISH METHODS TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THEM.
